The purpose of this project was to design a series of pieces across multiple applications for a conference campaign. The goal was to create a cohesive design system across a brochure with a poster on the back, and a website on PC, tablet, and mobile breakpoints. The pieces are meant to be used by the attendees of the event to provide the details of the event. Each piece includes bios for the speakers at the event, and the lecture schedule.
The conference is called Mixed Forecast and the topic of the conference is extreme weather and climate change. The main imagery of the pieces is burning trees that use a mixed colour scheme. The forest fire imagery represents extreme weather as a result of climate change. The pieces have a mixed colour scheme of contrasting colours to draw attention to the piece and reflect the name of the conference, Mixed Forecast. Century Gothic was chosen as the typeface for its geometric, highly legible, and web-safe attributes. Every design decision was made to reflect the topic of the conference and to create a cohesive design across all applications.
